ITL is committed to bringing products to the market that consistently prove to be market leaders in safety and innovation.

We have marketing offices in North America, Europe, Australia and Malaysia with R&D and manufacturing facilities in Malaysia and Australia.

The Beginning

ITL was established in Canberra, Australia in 1994. ITL's initial focus was developing safety devices that addressed infection control issues for global healthcare markets. Given the growing size of this market and the increasing trend towards safety regulation at that time, ITL initially targeted the blood collection market as its core focus for safety product development.

A number of ITL's innovative products have become the international standard in blood collection safety and have been recognised in numerous OH&S and Design Awards.

Intellectual Property

ITL has a significant portfolio of Intellectual Property including patents, trademarks and registered designs for its innovative products. ITL is continually adding to its portfolio through its strong and continuous committment to research and development.

Manufacturing

In 2000, ITL established a dedicated manufacturing plant in Ipoh, Malaysia which manufactures almost all of the company's products. This facility ensures both quality and reliability for all products manufactured.

ITL also has a manufacturing facility located in Melbourne which manufactures procedure kits for the Operating Room and other target Health care markets.

Acquisitions

In 2003, ITL made a major acquisition by purchasing Surgicare, a company that had been operating for 25 years and enjoyed a high market share in customised procedure packs for various medical applications. Now wholly integrated into ITL Healthcare, this synergistic fit with ITL's products ensures extensive cross-marketing for all product areas. In 2003, ITL also acquired CWP Design, an industrial design company. This acquisition has resulted in an integrated design-development-manufacture-market service.

Stock Exchange Listing

ITL was granted listing on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) in 2004. The code for ITL's shares traded on the ASX is ITD.
